Thank God it's the weekend! I look forward to sitting back and taking it easy
over the next couple of days. I haven't been feeling well. My throat & nose are
really bothering me. It could be my allergies or it could be a little bug
.
I'm going out to get cards for Stephen for Valentines' Day and for his birthday.
And, a littl surprise for Valentines' Day. Although, I don't know what I can get
him from Hallmark that isn't too girlish
.
It seems like every other day we have been getting a little snow shower. The little snow that we have been getting only amounts to a coating to a 1/2 inch, if that. I would love to have one big snow storm this year. Just not for the Josh Groban concert on March 1st. It can snow the week before or the week after, just not a couple days before and especially the day of.
Stephen and I are going to be heading to the movies tonight to see Catch and Release, with Jennifer Garner. It looks like it'll be a good romantic comedy. Right up my alley!
I hope to get a lot done at work next week. I didn't get a chance to finish the bulk bill that I was working on by Friday. It's not due for a few weeks yet, but I still would like to get it done by Wednesday. I would like to get my large January closed files done by Friday. I have a lot more files to do now that we are down one person in our unit. A friend of mine went over to another department to be a TCR. They aren't replacing her, so the 3 of us left have to split her into 3s. It's not going to be that much more work for me anyway, it's just the closed files are going to be bit of a pain because I never really liked doing them. That's why I do them first to get them done and out of the way.
Tonight was sloppy joe night! Yummy! I was going to make baked ziti, but we changed our minds at the last minute. We really didn't want anything that was too heavy. I would like to have meatballs for dinner tomorrow while Stephen and his parents are having pizza. I just can't deal with having pizza anymore. I do have Red Baron pizza in the freezer that I could have instead that tastes A LOT better. I'll have to see what type of mood I'm in tomorrow afternoon.
I HAVE to do a little house work around here tomorrow. Just the vaccuming and the dusting.
I have laudnry that needs to be put away, you know all that fun stuff. I'm so lucky to have
a hubby who likes to help with the laundry. He does the towels and the white wash. I'm not
"allowed" to touch the white wash. See, I double up on my socks a lot during the winter and
once I had on red socks under my white socks. Well, lets just say that I forgot the red socks
where still inside the white and everything turned pink! Thank God for bleach
!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Take care & God bless!!

We had SOME snow last night! I love the snow......it's so pretty! Of course, this snow was mixed with some sleet and freezing rain. Not a good combo for driving to work at 6:30 am.
Not a lot going on on the home front. I'm very tired tonight. It wasn't a long day at all, I guess all the taking down of decorations caught up with me. LOL!
I have a bulk bill that I have to do for work. I hope to have it done this week, but we'll have to see. Although, it's only 60 pages, so it might be doable to get it done by Friday. Keep your fingers crossed.
Would you believe that I forgot to set out my clothes for the week yesterday! I noticed that this morning. So, I had to stand in my closet for 10 minutes trying to figure out what to wear that would keep me comfortable in the office (it's either too cold or too hot). I have a couple of outfits hanging up that I didn't wear last week that I could wear, but I'll have to see.
The head coach for the Dallas Cowboys has retired from coaching today. I think that it was time for a change anyway. Especially after all the ups and downs of this season. Granted he has turned the team around for the better, but there still needs major improvements. Even if that means getting rid of some players that aren't pulling their own weight.
Well, I guess I should get off of here. I have to separate the payments on this bulk bill. I have to do this at home since I have other duties that have to come first.
Have a good night & sweet dreams!
Take care & God bless!!

The Christmas decorations are almost down! I move fast!!! I got up around 8:30 (couldn't go back to sleep). I put on some tea and Josh Groban's last albumn Awake....and went to town taking everything down. The garland that we put up around the house came down first. Then I started the tree. Most of the ornaments on the tree
are ones that Stephen had gotten every year with his name on them and then I have ones
like that now, too. A lot of Star Wars ornaments. I have SO many ornament boxes that
I had no idea where to start. Stephen also has REALLY pretty wolf and bunny ornaments
that have their own boxes and then another bigger box to put all those boxes in! Boxes
everywhere!!!! LOL!
Dinner was really nice last night. We didn't get home until around 10:30. The restaraunt was very high class. VERY nice! The food was to die for!!
I have to start getting my meatballs together about 2 this afternoon for dinner tonight. I love my clow cooker! I have to search online for slow cooker recepies now! I plan on cooking them on hight for 4 hours, since they are basically precooked meatballs. I was going to make them from scratch, then I saw that they were on sale and decided to get them instead. Next time, I'll make them from scratch. I just wish I had something for tomorrow so I don't have to eat pizza. I really don't like pizza all that much anymore, the kind that Stephen's parents bring over anyway. I just think that the pizza place has someone new making it and it just doesn't taste the same anymore. I'm very particular. I just I can just have what's left over from our dinner last night. yeah.....that could work!
I'm looking forward to American Idol again next week, but at the same time, I really
hate to see the judges being so mean to these people. I think that they need to start
taking it easy. They really don't have to make fun of how a person looks. They really
don't. I'm looking forward to when they all get to hollywood, who my fav is going to be. Althouh, I think last year is going to be hard to top. They had so many great
artists emerge from last season.
Tomorrow, I have to clean the house. All this taking down of the Christmas decorations messes things up a little. Of course, I'm going to have to clean while Stephen is at the movies. I can't clean with him around. It's hard to explain. I just have to have the house to myself for me to clean.
Take care & God bless!!

January 18th, 2007
Well, the winter weather is FINALLY here! It's about time! I can actually wear
my sweaters!! It actually started to snow earlier this afternoon....and it stuck to the
ground!! It looked so pretty, too. I almost forgot how pretty the snow is around
here. It made my day when I saw that it was snowing.
The beef stew I made in my new slow cooker turned out really yummy!
So, with thatsaid, I'm going be to making meatballs for dinner on Saturday night. I have the
sauces, spices, and the meatballs all ready to go. I can't wait! My Aunt Mary & Granny
use to make meatballs all the time in thier slow cooker and they were SO juicy! I hope
mine turn out almost as good as theirs' did.
I played around with my site a little yesterday when I got home from work. I wanted to add a calendar graphic where my dates to remember was for last month. I think having the calendar is better since we don't always have things going on every month.
Did you see American Idol this week?!? How could these people possibly thing that they are any good?!? It's histerical how they actually thought they were the next American Idol! GIVE IT UP ALREADY!!!!! Well, it makes for good TV and yes, I'm one of the ones sitting there laughing so hard my sides hurt. It was even more funny when they showed the judges either laughing or with their jaws droping to the floor. LOL! I'm sorry, but if you're willing to go on national TV and make a fool of yourself, you deserve to get laughed at!!!
Tomorrow our boss is treating us to dinner (her Christmas gift to the unit). We are going to Filamena's Restraunt. It was scheduled for before Christmas, but that fell through. We have a menu that we were able to print out, but I have no idea what I'm going to get. I guess I'm just going to have to wing it. I hope the food is good, Stephen & I have never been there before. We're more Lonestar and TGI Fridays people.
Not much else is going on. Work is going good. However, I do look forward to the weekends now. I guess with it being so busy sometimes durign the week, that it's nice to have a couple of days to recharge. I could never do that at my previous job. I always ended up working 6 days week most of the time and I was ALWAYS miserable. Stephen & I never got to spend time together, now we see each other ALL THE TIME! It's not bad working with him at all. Most people are really weary of having a husband and wife working together, but we do it very well. We have our own thing to do, that's makes it better.
Well, it's 42 days left until Josh Groban's concert in Philly! I'm so stoked! I can hardly wait! I just hope that I'm able to take pics. I've read on the message boards that they will tell you on the ticket if you can't, but since ours' doesn't say, I'm going assume that I can. I'm going to call the Wachovia Center the day before, just to make sure.
Take care & God bless!!

January 14th, 2007
Hey strangers!!! Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of weeks. The time just slipped
away from me!
Not a lot has been going on around here. Just working, as usual. Stephen enjoyed his week off at the begining of the month. He watched a lot of his DVDs that he got for Christmas. Work has been hit and miss with being busy. But, you know me, I love it! I have lots to do at work right now. I just finished up a bulk bill that I was working on (only took me two days to do 89 pages). Now I have a medical bulk bill waiting for me when I go back to work tomorrow. But, first I have to finish boxing up my December closed files that I started back on Friday. That's not going to take me long at all. I would have been done on Friday if I didn't have to get my mail done for tomorrow. But, since I feel like I have to keep ahead with that, that comes first.
I bought that Banguet stew on Tuesday when we went to the store. All you have to do is set aside the potatos to unthaw in the frige, unthaw the sauce packet in hot water, add 2 1/2 cups hot water and let it cook on low in the slow cooker for 8-10 hours. They did say that you can cook it on high for 4 hours, but I didn't notice that until an hour ago, so it's a little too late to change the settings. I'm going to have this tonight instead of pizza. I can't remember the last time I had stew.
Stephen's watching the extended version of King Kong this afternoon, so I'm going to be taking advantage of that time to clean up around the house. I vaccumed last night after we go Snowball back in his cage, so that's done and out of the way.
I have to keep calling our Hallmark store to see when they are going to get in JOsh Groban's Valentine CD, With You. It has two new songs along with some of our favs from his previous album. The offer is only good until Valentines' Day, so they better get it in. It's only been available in other Hallmark stores since the 3rd.
Well, I guess I'd better get going. I have to check on my stew.
Take care & God bless!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE
!
We are starting the New Year with some heavy rains
. I love the rain, though. It's like God is washing away all the dirt and caoss and starting fresh \o/ !!
LORD, thank you for the chance of starting brand new. Not just in the new year, but through out the entire year. Forgive us for things we have done in the past and help us to learn from those mistakes so we can move on and find everlasting peace and love in the comfort of your arms! Isn't just amazing at how we can start over again. No matter what the situation, no matter how deep of a hole we just can't seem to get out of, there's hope!! You just gotta have faith! Without faith we wouldn't be where we are today!
well, my Cowboys lost yesterday
. I guess I just have to have a little more faith in them that they will make it through the playoffs into the Superbowl (and win)!
I don't understand them
!!!! I feel like packing up all my Cowboys memorabilia and putting it in the back of the closet!! Well, I guess I can still be thankfull that they are still in the playoffs. I don't think they've been in the playoffs for a couple of years now, maybe a few.
It's back to work tomorrow & Stephen has off all week. He plans on watching some of the MANY DVDs he got for CHIRSTmas. So, it will be nice for him to take a few days to relax. He deserves it, he works so hard. I just have to figure out what to wear for the rest of the week.
Dinner was nice last night. Rocky Balboa was great! I was a little disappointed by the ending, though. I won't give it away for those if haven't seen yet, but would like to.

Well, I guess I'd better get going so I can get my day started. I slpet in until 10am!
I have a few things around the house that I have to take care of since I have to go back to work tomorrow. Plus I'm hoping to watch a few more episodes of Loius & Clark this morning and this afternoon, so I guess I really should stop rambling and get myself in gear!
Take care & God bless!!
