December 30th, 2006

Good morning, everyone!

Wow....I can't believe that 2006 is almost over! Where did the year go? It seems like just a couple of months ago we were celebrating the new year .

I like starting new again. Of course, I always tell myself the same thing, "I'm going to read through the entire Bible this year", and it never happens. I really need to set more realistic goals for doing this in the new year. I can't say, "well, I'm going to read this many chapters every day", I'm just going to go where the LORD leads me. And, I feel like he's leading me to the Psalms or somewhere in the New Testament. One thing I know I can stop doing is watching too much TV. I can read for awhile when we first get home while Stephen is working out. And, then again after dinner? Either way, somethings gotta give, because I feel the LORD is REALLY pusing me to do this.

It's back to work on Tuesday . Thankfully I only have 13 pieces of mail that I have to file away, so it's not going to be too difficult to get myself ahead of myself again. I do have to find the time to pull my December closed files to my last row so I can get them set to box up sometime next week or so. Stpehen's out all week, so I have to do a third of his responsibilities. It's not that much extra work, atleast I don't think so. I'm looking forward to going back. I feel relaxed and refreshed .

I ordered a new handbag the other day. I have more points left over from our rewards program at work. Each point is worth $5. Earlier in the month, I got a Frank Sinatra CDs, and couple box sets of the Rat Pack ( Frank Sintra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin). My MIL jokes with me all the time telling me that I have an old soul .

So, what is everyone going to do for New Year's Eve? I think I've mentioned before that Stephen and I are going to dinner with his parents to Lonestar and then after that to the movies to see the new Rocky movie. Yes, I'm a Rock fan!

How about Hussein being executed? I think the ENTIRE situation is sad really. All those poor people that he had killed and what their families had to go through. Killing those men and boys. Now, what did young boys do to deserve to be killed? Not to mention what he put his country through. I don't believe we should STILL be Iraq. I DO support our troops %100 and their families. And, they are always in my heart and prayers. I've had a cousin and her husband in Iraq (they are home now) and I have a few friends whos' sons are still in Iraq. I just wish they could all just come home already to be with their families and friends where they should be. I just feel like, if there's one good thing that came out of this, is that we got Hussein out of power so the people of Iraq can start to relive their lives like any normal human being has the Godgiven right to do. I think that it's ok to help others in need, but there's really only so much we can do, right? Don't get me wrong, I was ok with us going over there at first, but I think that we have worn out our welcome. I'm sorry if I offended anyone by this (especially those that have loved ones in the war), but thankfully I live in a country where I'm free to speak my mind.

On that note, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope that the LORD blesses you beyond your wildest dreams! Stay safe whatever you may be doing to celebrate!

Take care & God bless!!

Hey, blogger world! Yeah, I know......my second post in a week! What's goin' happen.....LOL?!?

Anyways, not much going on here today, just a little house work. And, listening to Barry Manilow. I have a little bit more laundry to do, but that can probably wait until later this afternoon or tomorrow. I'm REALLY am enjoying this week off from work. I think I needed this time to just sit back, relax and hardly to anything. I guess that's how it should be on your days off, huh?

I'm in the middle of changing the fonts for my site again. I just think that having an universal font is best. That way everyone who visits can view it properly.

Stephen downloaded a major upgrade to the computer the other day. Now, we have the new Internet Explorer 7.0! I love it! The words just seem SO much clearer & cleaner. And, my fav it the part were it will let you have multiple sites up at once with the little tabs they have now.....so cool! It's perfect for people like Stephen & myself who work on their sites on the computer before uploading them. I can go back and forth with my site on the computer and the one I have online (eventhough they are identicle).

Well, it's only 7:30, so I guess I'd better get going so I can get my day started. The laundry is calling my name (hee hee hee)! Then, I have to watch more of "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman". That Dean Cain is too cute for words! And, I have all 4 seasons \o/!!! Next, Golden Girls, I'm only one season away from having the ENTIRE series on DVD! I love that show, too. Sophia is such a pickle! She cracks me up so much my side hurts LOL!!

Take care & God bless!!

December 26th, 2006

Hello, bloggers!! I hope that everyone had a VERY blessed CHRISTmas! I can't believe it's all over already !
Stephen & I had a very blessed CHRISTmas together. We had his parents and uncle over. And, my mom came up for a couple of hours (that ended up being interesting, in a good way either).

Stephen got his usual DVDs (LOTS of DVDs, ornaments from Hallmark, and a few CDS, and some clothes. I got jewelry (of course) LOL! Clothes, DVDs & CDs (my fav is Josh Gorban's new album), a new CD player for my desk a work, and that new Tickle Me Elmo that rolls on the floor laughing so hard. I now have all but one season of The Golden Girls on DVD. I now have all the seasons of "The New Adventures of Superman" staring Dean Cain & Terry Thatcher.

So, besides doing load after load of laundry this week, I have plenty to watch on DVD. I'm not going to spend as much time on the computer like I normally would.I just don't have to energy to sit at the computer like I use to. Although, I do gets bursts where all I want to do is sit on the computer! LOL! I have to move our CHRISTmas CDs down stairs to the entertainment center until next year. I don't know....there's something about listening to CHRISTmas music after the 25th that gets under my skin like you wouldn't believe. I have to do that when Stephen gets home, though.

This afternoon, I'll be going out with Stephen's parents to do a little shopping. I have to look for a new CD stand for our stereo in the dinning room. Hopfully I can find one that will stack on top of the one that I already have. I really don't want to move my stuffed cow display I have set up on either side of the stereo.

Sunday all four of us will be going to Lonestar for our anual New Year's Eve dinner and then after that, we are going to go see the new Rocky movie. I can't wait to see that!

Not much else is going on this week. I just want to take my week off from work to sit back and relax. A little R & R will never hurt anyone.

Well, I guess I should get off of here. I want to clean up the kitchen a little.

Take care & God bless!!

Hey, bloggers !!

Well, how do you like my opening theme? This was a very thoughtful gift from a friend of mine, Pam over at This Side of Heaven Graphics. This has to be my fav set yet! The gingerbread men are just too cute for words. I had to have this as my opening theme when I saw this in my inbox. I got to work on setting it up right away! . Thank you so much, Pam for your thoughtfulness! This set means the world to me!

I cannot believe that Christmas is just over one week away! And, the new year is just around the corner! I have a peacful feeling about the new year. It just feels so much different this year. I have to pick up reading my Bible again. I've slipped SO much. There's really no excuse. Even if it's only a few chapters a day, atleast I'm feeding myself with God's promises! Please say some extra prayers that I won't become lazy again in the new year and keep up the Bible reading !!

I have to make some more cookies next weekend. The time as just gotten way from me over the last couple of weeks. Not to mention that by time I get home from work, I have no energy. Having the energy at work is no problem, it just catches up to me around dinner time when I'm finally able to sit back and relax. I also have to make a few more snowflake ornaments to give out as presents. I just love making things for people. I think it's much better than going out and spending an aweful sum of money. Besides, it's not really in our budget to get things for a few people that I would have liked to. At least it will be something.

And, The Dallas Cowboys won last night against the Falcons!!! Which means that they are one step closer to the playoffs! They are having their best season in what has to be a couple of years. I'm SO stoked!! I'm looking forward to the game on Christmas Day between the Cowboys & Eagles! What a great Christmas/Birthday....for my fav team ever beat the Eagles !!!!

I'm going to have one busy week at work. I have to keep extra ahead of myself since I'm off the last week this month. The most important thing I have to do is finish the bulk bill that I started last week. I hope to be done that by Wednesday. There's not a lot of pages to it, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Well, I guess I'd better get going so I can get myself together. We're going to see Charlet's Web this afternoon. I hope I like it. I just need to get out of the house for a couple of hours. The only place I go is work. And, the grocery store once a week. Geesh.....do I ever need to get a life! On that note, I hope you all have a very pleasent SONday!!

Take care & God bless!!

December 10,th

Hello!

Well, I spent most of my morning yesterday making cookies for Christmas. I know, it's a little early, but if I don't start them now, they will never get done. I made chocolate chip cookies with walnuts and peppermint extract. Talk about yummy!! I didn't think that they weren't going to turn out because my cookie dough was very clumpy, but I called my Aunt Mary asking her what to do and she helped me to fix it! Thank God for Aunt Mary !!

Last night was baked ziti night! Another fav of ours'. My MIL recently got me a slow cooker, so I would like to make stew one night for dinner, but Stephen doesn't like stew (eventhough he's never had it before) . How can you not like something when you've never had it before? Oh well....more for me!! LOL!

Stephen & I went over to his parents' place last night to watch home movies from when Stephen was growing up. They had Christmas & his birthday on the old movie projectors. We suggested that they take those somewhere to get them put on DVD. Afterall, the tape isn't going to last forever. The machine is still in pretty good working condition, too! It was SO funny watching Stephen on Christmas morning, especially the Christmas I was born! I wish I had something like that when I was growing up, that would have been neat to see.

I got A LOT done at work on Friday. Even with Stephen being out. I managed to get the archiving done for my November closed files done a week and a half before I even planned on starting it! Yeah! I'm so far ahead of myself, it's sickening! But, I'd rather be ahead, then REALLY far behind. It also gives me a chance to help the others out if they need it.

I found a really nice font today, but I have to decide if I want to go through all of my site and change the fonts. I did manage to change the font on the page I setup for The Ten Commandments, but haven't decided if I'm going to upload them yet, or not. I do know that whatever fonts I do use, I'm going to have to zip them up and upload them to my site for my visitors to download so they can view my site correctly. Maybe I can do that the week that I am off on vacation at the end of the month.

Well, I guess I'd better get going. I have to put some clothes away and then set out my clothes for the week. I would also like to get a little bit of house work done, if possible. Have a great SONday!!

Take care & God bless!!

December 7th, 2006

A late post tonight, but better late than never!

Work was pretty good today. I got A LOT done. I started the archiving for my closed November files today. I got more of that done than I thought I would. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Stephen has off tomorrow and Monday, so I have to do 1/3 of his mail and other duities. I'm off the last week of this month. I'm SO looking forward to having a week off to just lounge around and do nothing! Well, except for cleaning up.

Stephen and I went to see "The Nativity Story" on Sunday afternoon. It was really good and I think they portrayed pretty accuratly to the Bible. I've always loved to hear of Jesus' birth. What an inspirational event in our history! Sometimes I sit back in amazment thinking about how Moses parted the Red Sea, how Christ died on the cross for our sins, or when Noah built the ark, ect. To think that those events actually took place just takes my breath away! How can you not be inspired just by the thought of it? I would've loved to be there, in those places to see those events unfold right before my eyes.

I think that I'm pretty much finished with adding new themes to my sire. It's just too much to take care of sometimes. I now have 25 different themes. But, you never know when I'm going to find some more cute graphics that I just have to have! LOL!

Well, I guess that I should get off of here so I can get myself settled in for the night. Sweet dreams!

Take care & God bless!!

December 3rd, 2006

Good morning, everyone!!

What a shock to the system this cold weather is!! We've had upper temperatures in the hight 60s to low 70s for the past couple of weeks. Now, since the cold front came through on Friday night, it's not even hitting 50 ! I want my warmer weather back !!!

We have our house all decorated for the Christmas Season! I love this time of year! Although, there's something about this year. I can put my finger on it, but there's something different about this year.

I've been working A LOT on adding new themes to my site. I did 3 or 4 last week and I just finised one and getting ready to start an other. I like having the different looks available on my site. So many possibilities!!

Stephen & I are going to see "The Nativity Story" this afternoon! I'm really looking forward to seeing this one! There's really not a lot of movies being released that I would want to go so see. I don't, I guess I'm just REALLY finicky on what types of movies that I think are right up my alley. None of those horror/thriller movies......NO WAY. I'm more into the romantic comedies, comedies......movies like that.

Well, I guess I'd better get going so I can get my day started!

Take care & God bless!!
